How to keep your cat active
As your furry pal ages, weight maintenance becomes necessary. As cats are natural hunters and love chasing after things, you can engage them in interesting types of games that will keep their mind and body active and stress free.
You can introduce small fast moving toys to keep your pet entertained. Blowing bubbles and encouraging him to chase after it is also a fun game. You can tie a feather or a mirror to a string and use it for him to play. Hiding his kibbles in a room and encouraging him to find it is sure to bring out the inner hunter in him.
Invest in a cat climbing structure or a cat tree which will encourage your pet to climb, jump and scratch and place it near the window where he can watch birds flying and the world outside. You can give him a food dispenser toy that comes in a form of a ball or a box. You just have to add his food in the toy and watch him try to get it out and actually work for his food, which a cat is naturally supposed to do.
As pet parents your main role is to keep your pet healthy and happy. A good nutritional diet and regular exercise is a surefire way to ensure your pet is in best of health for many years.
