How to Kitten proof your home?

Accidents can happen anywhere but most often it happens in our own home! Since it is always better to be safe than sorry it is imperative that you make your home a safe place for your kitten.

As kittens are naturally curious and inquisitive you need to be smarter and make your home a total accident free zone for your feline buddy. So, here is what you need to do:

• Put away any breakable decorative pieces or ornaments from your kitten’s reach.
• Your toilet lid must always be down. This ensures that your kitty does not drown or drink water that would contain toilet cleaning chemicals.
• Make sure doors to oven, microwave and washing machine are always closed.
• Keep cleaning materials and prescription medicines away from your kitty’s reach.
• Keep sharp objects like knives, needles or razors away from their reach.
• Put away any houseplants that are toxic to cats.
• Make sure you switch off and remove cords of any electronic device when not in use.  
• Shorten your table cloth so that your kitty does not pull any messy tricks!
• Keep any string items like dental floss, ribbons, thread or yarn away from your kitten’s reach as it may cause choking hazard.
