How to prepare your home before getting a kitten?
Now that you have decided to get home a kitten, it is time for you to first prepare and equip your house the right way before you welcome the responsibility of bringing your kitten home.
Whether your kitten is adopted or orphaned, it is your duty as a pet parent to ensure they have a comfortable and a secure home.
Here is what you need to stock up on before bringing your kitty home:
- Food and water bowls – it could either be stainless steel or ceramic bowls.
- A 3 feet high scratching or stretching post.
- Safe and non toxic toys like wand toys, treat dispenser toys or balls.
- Soft bed with a warm blanket.
- A grooming brush and a nail clipper.
- A cat carrier to make transport easier especially when you take them to the vet.
- A cat litter box. The earlier you house train them the better.
