When to take your elderly cat to the vet

Apart from regular check ups your pet must be examined by the vet if he has the following symptoms:

  • If there are any changes in his appetite or thirst.
  • Problems regarding bowel movement or urinary changes.
  • Changes in their movements or if they appear to be in pain.
  • If there are any changes regarding their behavior like vocalisation or crying and crankiness. If he reduces his interaction with you and with other pets then all is not well with him and he needs medical attention.

So take your feline friend to the vet immediately if you notice the above symptoms for effective treatment.
