Tips to Reduce Hair Shedding in Dogs

In general, most dogs will shed extra during Spring and Fall. Dogs are double-coated, meaning they have undercoats. When the weather warms, dogs shed their old winter undercoats. Then, when it begins to get cool again, dogs shed their lighter undercoats and grow a thicker coat

  1. Give your Dog Access to Clean, Fresh Water
  2. Brush your pet regularly, It removes excess hair and fur on your pet’s Skin. Depending on your Dog’s Fur type you can use Slicker Brushes, Shedding Blades, Matbreakers and Love Glove
  3. Feed your Dog a High Quality Diet
  4. Bathe your Pet Occasionally during the Summer
  5. Add Olive Oil or Flax Seed Oil to your Dog’s Diet. oils contain omega-3 fatty acids that help calm inflamed skin, decrease dandruff, and improve overall coat texture
  6. Provide Regular Exercise to your Dog – Could be Indoor / Outdoor
