Turmeric is a superfood that we are familiar with in our everyday cooking. It is a bright yellow powder that we include in most of our daily meals. Turmeric is a member of the ginger family that is power packed with antibacterial, antioxidant and anti inflammatory properties.

Yes, turmeric does wonders for your dog’s health. It works as a natural pain reliever, wards off bacteria, blocks the growth of cancerous cells and even lowers bad cholesterol.

How much turmeric does my dog need?

Include just a small teaspoon of turmeric in your dog’s meals. Just sprinkle it on your ready made dog food. If you are preparing your dog’s meal everyday then include a small spoon of it in your recipe. Make sure your pet drinks a lot of water to avoid constipation as turmeric is a binding agent.
